Good morning!

First, let me start by saying we praise God for the answered prayers you have lifted up on our behalf. Everything has gone so smoothly so far, and we are thankful. We had a great nights rest, a good breakfast, then off to the university. We met some new friends at the university this morning, a third year English class. In these classes we work with the students on conversational English, and build relationships which will allow us share Christ as we get to know each other. Today we talked about how we celebrate Christmans in the U.S. versus Russia. The students indicated that here some people may worship God 'secretly', that is, they may go to church once in a while to say a prayer but they don't tell anyone about it. This is an example of how much need there is in this city to proclaim the gospel. We want our Russian friends to know the love of Christ, and how he can be our hope in this life.

Our friends invited us for tea and pastry at a nearby cafe. We had a chance to share more about our life in America. Caleb found out one of the girls is into skateboarding! That will be a opportunity to share that he will really enjoy!

This afternoon we will go to a special program at the university where they will be singing English songs. This is another great opportunity for us to build relationships. Pray for opportunities to share Christ with those we meet today, as well as students we have worked with in the past.

Later this evening we will meet with a lady who works at a volunteer center for the elderly. We will be discussing how we might be able to minister to this part of the population. Pray for wisdom and opportunities to present themselves.

After that we hope to go bowling with a men's group from a local church. Pray for my back!

Thanks also for the posted comments! They are an encouragment to us.

We will post again tonight.
